Way back in February (during some of the darkest days of the pandemic, when hotel occupancy was extremely low), Hyatt launched something called ‘Great Relocate’ Packages. The aim was to try and get guests staying in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, to book stays of at least 29 nights, by offering massively discounted rates and additional perks.
At the time, this was quite an innovative and potentially smart idea, given the various travel restrictions.
Thanks to successful vaccination programmes, much of the world has since opened back up, or is in the process of doing so. I was therefore extremely surprised to see that Hyatt has extended the Great Relocate Package dates all the way through to the end of next year (December 2022)!
I’ve had a quick look at various dates (far from exhaustive), and although there does not seem to be as many hotels involved now and the deals aren’t quite as crazily cheap as they originally were, there are still a number of genuine bargains available.
What do the Hyatt Great Relocate Packages Include?
- Housekeeping twice a week
- Complimentary gym access
- Airport or train station pickup
- Up to three hours of complimentary board meeting room usage per month
- IT concierge to help smooth out any tech issues
- 25% off food & beverage**
- 25% off laundry services
- For World of Hyatt members, standard in-hotel benefits including earning points and having nights count toward elite-tier status.
The crucial point is that you can book dates all the way up until the end of 2022. Also, while a deposit for 29 nights is required, bookings made under this offer may be cancelled at no charge up to 72 hours before your scheduled arrival.
For all the hotels below, I was looking at dates in October/November 2022.
Great Scotland Yard Hotel, London ~$200 per night (£150, next cheapest rate £459):
Hyatt Regency Manchester, England, ~$88 per night (£65, next cheapest rate £117):
Hyatt Regency Kiev ~$115 per night (99 Euros, next cheapest rate 306 Euros):
Hyatt Regency Belgrade – ~$67 per night (57 Euros, next cheapest rate 89 Euros):
I have only included a few European examples above, so if you fancy a long stay somewhere in the EMEA region between now and the end of next year, I’d recommend having a good look yourself.
Are you surprised to see Hyatt still running this sale for dates next year?
