Clearly, these are unusual times, and with unusual times comes unusual marketing strategies. Hilton have responded to the uncertainties around hotel stays by running what appears to be a “rolling” sale – it doesn’t have any obvious booking or stay end dates.
The Honors Dream Away/Travel and Save offer is offering up to 30% off stays in the Americas, and up to 15% off stays in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and the Asia Pacific region. To benefit, you need to be a Hilton Honors member (join for free here).
If you’re not a Hilton Honors member, the discounted rates are 25% and 10%. Given that Hilton Honors is an excellent loyalty scheme and costs nothing to join, this strikes me as a rather nonsensical alternative. However, I appreciate you may have your reasons for doing so (and if you do, I’d be intrigued to know what they are!).
How to book
The landing page for the sale is here – rates will be applied automatically, no promo code is needed.
What’s available?
Using the example of London in May (the earliest possible that travel to the UK might be permitted), you can get the very well-positioned DoubleTree Westminster (pictured above) for a bargain ~$164 (£118) per night:
At the higher end, the Conrad St James is an unusually low ~$313 (£225) per night:
While these rates are good, note that they are often beaten by the generous rates available using the Key Worker discount – we covered that in detail here.
