A new Marriott Bonvoy promotion will soon begin under the motto “Better together,” which all members of the loyalty program can look forward to. This is particularly helpful in qualifying for elite status with Marriott.

Double points and double nights

In February, Marriott Bonvoy is launching a new promotion that will allow all members to earn significantly more bonus points as part of their overnight stays, as well as qualify for elite status twice too quickly. Members will receive double elite night credits and double points for stays of two nights or longer between Feb. 16 and April 27, 2021, at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy.

To take advantage of the new Marriott promotion, you must register for the promotion no later than April 13, 2021. This can be done on Marriott’s landing page. It is important to note that only stays that take place after registering for the promotion will be counted.

All of the more than 7,000 hotels in the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio participate in this promotion. Only one room per hotel will count toward the program member’s nights or stay. Homes & Villas by Marriott, ExecuStay, Marriott Executive Apartments and Marriott Vacation Club brands are not participating in the promotion.

Helpful to earn Marriott Bonvoy elite status

Marriott Bonvoy elite status customers can make good use of this promotion to requalify their elite status for next year. In light of the continued difficult Corona situation, Marriott Bonvoy has already recently communicated that all status customers will be credited with half of the qualifying nights needed to maintain their respective status. This will be based on the individual status in 2020.

Silver Elite will be credited five nights, Gold Elite will be credited 13 elite nights, Platinum Elite will be credited 25 qualifying nights, Titanium Elite will be credited 38 elite night credits and Ambassador Elite will be credited 50 nights. A part of the still missing nights to get the status can be collected well with the new promotion.
