Too Good To Be True? Hilton’s Three Night $199 Mega-Deal

Hilton is currently offering three nights at selected Orlando and Las Vegas hotels at a staggering $199 for three nights. As if that’s not enough, you’ll also get 15,000 Honors points (worth around $90) thrown in.

What’s The Deal?

The three night getaway in Orlando applies to stays at either Hilton Orlando (near SeaWorld Orlando and Universal Orlando) or Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista (near Disney Springs and Epcot).

In Vegas, it’s either the Hilton Grand Vacations on the Boulevard at the north end of the Strip or Tropicana Las Vegas – a DoubleTree by Hilton at the south end of the Strip.

Once you purchase the package, you have 12 months to stay.

What’s The Catch?

Hardly surprisingly, there are some strings are attached to this cut-price getaway. The $199 package is the “Personal Preview” for the Hilton Grand Vacations Scheme, which is the Hilton timeshare business. The key small print, all of which can be found here, is that to ensure you’re not charged more than the headline $199, you must attend a two-hour timeshare sales presentation. (It’s a one hour presentation if you’re already a Hilton Grand Vacations Owner.)

Now, clearly, Hilton Grand Vacations absolutely cannot force you to buy anything at this presentation, and you absolutely will not be required to pay any more than the $199 should you really not wish to. However, rest assured you’ll be subjected to some very persuasive (and potentially quite “hard sell”) marketing.

Clearly I can’t tell you exactly what they’re going to offer you, and that offer in itself may be a perfectly good deal. However, the key point is – they will be doing all they can to get you to part with further cash, and tie you in to Hilton Grand Vacations ownership. So be prepared to heavily analyze what is on offer, and don’t get swept up by enthusiastic marketing hype or pressure to part with your cash “before it’s too late” etc etc. These people are very skilled marketers, believe me.

Is This Worth It?

Ultimately, you may well bag yourself an absolutely fantastic bargain with this deal. However, what’s important is you go into it with your eyes open. Full terms and FAQs can be found on this page.

I have done this and several people I know and no issues at all. I’m clear at the presentation that I am not buying and it’s over with.

I actually attended a timeshare presentation in KeyWest Fl and purchased the Vegas Orlabdo package gladly. I walked away with a $ 200 VISA GIFTCARD with No Strings with That timeshare pitch. I did not buy timeshare but purchased Hilton Honors Grand $ 199.00 Package. It was a tour and a quick NO means No Way! Off to spend the VIISA
Travel to Vegas after 30 days aftervaccine

Done the hilton package and also the BlueGreen one, both where interesting and took under 2 hours. The Hilton one last time around was $199 but for 30K points and 4 nights and $100 GC, sort of a no brainer since we where heading to FL anyways I found the sale person professional but there was a person who tried to sell me another vacation package at the end for Hilton that was kinda slimy but that is their job. I smiled and remembered I was out of there in a few minutes.
