Air New Zealand came in at the top of the AirlineRatings.com list of Top Ten Airlines for 2015 for the second year in a row. Airlines on the list must achieve a seven-star safety rating as well as demonstrate innovation in passenger comfort. Air New Zealand received high marks for its in-flight innovations, financial performance, safety record and well-trained staff. The airline received special recognition for its Skycouch product in economy, Spaceseat in premium economy and also for its young fleet and environmental efforts.
Etihad, Cathay Pacific, Qantas, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, EVA Air, Lufthansa, All Nippon Airways and British Airways rounded out the remainder of the top 10 list.
Etihad won the award for Best First Class, Cathay Pacific for the Best Business Class, Air New Zealand for Best Premium Economy and Thai Airways took the award for Best Economy Class.
