in 2022, Choice Hotels agreed to buy the Radisson hotels located in the Americas. The process of merging those Radisson hotels into Choice Privileges has now begun. Following the standard playbook for hotel loyalty program mergers, members can now exchange their points back and forth between Choice Privileges and Radisson Rewards Americas.
The conversion ratio is 2 Radisson Rewards Americas points for 1 Choice Privileges point.
You can convert a maximum of 250,000 Choice Privileges points or 500,000 Radisson Rewards Americas points in one transaction. The minimum amounts are 500 Choice points or 1,000 Radisson Americas points.
An odd proviso also says that you are limited to 12 point exchanges within a rolling 365-day period.

Bottom Line
This conversion ratio feels about right. I would value a Radisson point in the 0.3-0.35 cent range, while a Choice point is worth more like 0.7-0.8 cents. You can, however, find some spectacular uses of Choice points in places such as Scandinavia. Every August, Choice and United Airlines tend to run a 100% conversion bonus, which can also be another good use of Choice points.
I would almost certainly, therefore, be moving my Radisson points to Choice Privileges…
