Ignore the fact that Marriott is promoting an “up to 33% discount”. Although that is notionally possible – hotels that were pricing at peak prices are now at off-peak for October – you aren’t going to see any additional discount at hotels already in their off-season…
Check Your Existing Bookings
This promotion is really time limited. You have one week to book and only the remainder of October to stay… So this probably is most helpful to those members who ALREADY have booked something.
If that’s you… I recommend that you check your existing reservations. You may be able to cancel and rebook at lower prices. Be careful though… if you are staying at a fully-booked hotel, don’t assume that your room will automatically return to inventory.
