Radisson Rewards Americas has released details of a very intriguing promotion. Unlike most hotel chain promotions, this one incentivizes you to spend your Radisson points! The promotion will run between September 8th and December 31st, 2021.
The promotion works like this:
- Book an award stay (using Radisson points) of 2 nights or longer – checking out before December 31st, 2021.
- Receive a free night certificate that you can use between January 17th and May 23rd, 2022.
If your award stay takes place in an award Category 1-3 hotel, your free night certificate will be valid at a Category 1-3 hotel. If your award stay takes place at a Category 4 or 5 hotel, your free night certificate will be valid at any Radisson Rewards Americas hotel.
You can earn a maximum of 5 free night certificates.

How to “Travel Hack” This Promotion
Assuming that the dates work for you – you won’t be able to extend the life of the free night certificates – there are two potential “travel hacks” to get fantastic value from this promotion.
Category 1 –> 3 Hack
If you can book and stay at a Category 1 hotel for exactly 2 nights, you will pay 30,000 points in total. (less if you can find a RewardSaver hotel)
In exchange, you will receive a free night certificate valid at any Category 3 hotel – worth 45,000 points!
If you know of a Category 1 hotel that is convenient for a mattress run or a weekend getaway / staycation, you can do extremely well out of this promo.
Category 4 –> 5 Hack
Although not quite as eye-opening, if you book and stay at a Category 4 hotel for exactly 2 nights, you will pay 120,000 points.
In exchange, you will receive a free night certificate valid at a Category 5 hotel – worth 75,000 points!
Although you won’t be mattress running a Category 4 hotel, you might certainly be taking a weekend trip, and earning some valuable Category 5 award certificates to use in Spring 2022…
