Choice Privileges has announced a new promotion that is only available to US residents. The promotion runs between now and May 23rd, 2021.
The promotion gets gradually more lucrative the more you stay…
- 8,000 bonus points after 3 stays
- 15,000 bonus points after 5 stays
- 25,000 bonus points after 8 stays
These amounts are NOT cumulative, so you actually receive:
- 8,000 bonus points after 3 stays
- 7,000 bonus points after 2 more stays
- 10,000 bonus points after 3 more stays
You can also receive 2,000 bonus points per stay at a Cambria hotel. This comes on top, and doesn’t require you to stay at least 3 times.
Because you could stay all 8 times at a Cambria hotel, you can earn up to 41,000 bonus points in total.

The Fine Print
A “stay” is any number of consecutive nights at one hotel regardless of check-ins or check-outs. A “qualifying stay” is a stay that is during this promotion at a participating hotel, booked through a qualifying channel (see Qualifying Channel, below) that is eligible to earn Choice Privileges points. Most stays are eligible to earn Choice Privileges points EXCEPT: rooms booked at rates below $40 USD per night, certain hotel-initiated promotions, reward night stays, complimentary rooms, rooms paid for as part of a convention or meeting, rooms booked through a travel agent or third-party online retailer including online travel agencies, wholesale packages, group tours, and stays booked using the employee discount or the friends and family discount. Available to U.S. residents only.
Bonus points are in addition to the base points earned from a qualifying stay(s). The maximum number of bonus points awarded to an individual member will not exceed 41,000 points during the promotional period.
Worth It?
You can often stay at a really nice Choice hotel for 16,000 – 20,000 points per night, especially if you plan to visit Europe once travel re-opens. 8 one-night stays at a Cambria hotel –> 2 free nights at a $300+ per night hotel in Norway? That would be a great travel hack if you can regularly stay at a Cambria hotel before May 23rd!
