Tropical Storm Nicole is currently heading in a northwesterly direction at three miles per hour in the Atlantic Ocean with maximum sustained winds of 60 miles per hour; and it is currently located approximately 380 miles south of Bermuda, where a hurricane watch has been issued because the storm is expected to turn north and strengthen into a hurricane once again — meaning that a hurricane warning could be issued for Bermuda later today.

Swells in the water off of the coast of Bermuda should eventually increase over the next couple of days, creating dangerous surf conditions and rip currents — and the winds will increase as hurricane conditions are expected to impact Bermuda by tomorrow evening, Wednesday, October 12, 2016.

Forecasts indicate that Tropical Storm Nicole could possibly strengthen with maximum sustained winds at 100 miles per hour — which would classify the storm as a strong Category 2 hurricane.
