Members of Alitalia MilleMiglia can now use miles to get a discount when purchasing Alitalia tickets. The minimum redemption is 5,000 miles for a 25 euro discount up to a maximum 25 percent of the total cost of the flight.

Also new is that status level members who exceed the status threshold can rollover the extra miles to the following year. For example, if by the end of 2013 a member has earned 30,000 qualifying miles, 20,000 can be used to join the Ulisse Club and the remaining 10,000 miles can be credited as qualifying 2014 miles toward Exclusive Club membership.
