China Southern Airlines is offering a “Buy One — Get One Free” Business Class promotion from Sydney to China.

Until March 31, 2004, China Southern passengers can buy a Business Class roundtrip from Sydney to Guangzhou for $2,780 AUS, and bring along a companion for free.

There are no blackout periods during October, but there are periodic blackouts from mid-December to mid-February.
