With its acquisition of AMR Collection, Hyatt is adding many all-inclusive hotels to its portfolio. The first 6 hotels (all in Mexico) have been added to World of Hyatt, meaning that you can now earn and redeem points at:
- Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya
- Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort
- Secrets The Vine Cancun
- Dreams Natura Resort & Spa
- Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa
- Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort
An additional 52 all-inclusives in the Americas will be added on May 9, 2022. The European hotels will be added later.
A New All-Inclusive Award Chart
To cope with the new all-inclusive hotels, some of which are very luxurious, Hyatt has implemented a separate award chart for its 9 all-inclusive brands.
Along with the existing Zilara and Ziva brands, the AMR Collection includes these brands: Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resorts, Secrets Resorts & Spas, Breathless Resorts & Spas, Dreams Resorts & Spas, Vivid Hotels & Resorts, Alua Hotels & Resorts, and Sunscape Resorts & Spas.
Instead of numbered categories, all-inclusive categories will range from A to F.
How Many Guests are Allowed?
Unlike a regular hotel, all-inclusives offer food and drink to all guests. As a result, these points values only apply to single or double occupancy. If you want to bring additional guests (in the same room, where allowed), it will cost you:
As with the standard Hyatt award chart, you can spend more points to book a suite. However, this doesn’t automatically entitle you to any additional “free” guests. If you travel as a family, you might want to reach out to the hotel to see what their policy is on additional guests – it might make more sense to pay cash at the hotel instead of an extra 6,500-29,000 points per person per night…
Bottom Line
Even though all-inclusive hotels might not normally be your cup of tea, it is still good news to have lots more resort hotels where you can spend your Hyatt points.
