You will earn 1,500 bonus MileagePlus miles per night with Waldorf Astoria and Conrad Hotels & Resorts for stays at greater than 50 participating hotel and resort properties through Saturday, December 31, 2016 — once you register for this promotion and select United Airlines as your preferred airline in your Hilton HHonors profile — and you must book your reservations a minimum of three days in advance by Wednesday, December 28, 2016.
That bonus is in addition to the Hilton HHonors points and MileagePlus award miles which you would already earn; and you may earn a maximum of 7,500 MileagePlus miles per stay with this promotion.
To be eligible to earn 1,500 miles per night of your stay, you must:
- Select Points & Miles within your Hilton HHonors profile
- Select United Airlines as your Double Dip Points & Miles Partner in your profile
- Register here prior to your first stay
- Book an eligible stay via any official Hilton Worldwide Internet web site or through Hilton Worldwide central reservations; and
- Complete your eligible stay at a participating hotel and resort properties between Sunday, October 1, 2016 through Saturday, December 31, 2016
Terms and Conditions
A stay is defined as the total number of consecutive nights spent at the same hotel or resort property — whether or not you check out and check back in again.
Registered Hilton HHonors members will only receive the selected bonus for nights completed during the promotion period — regardless of checking into a hotel or resort property on a date prior to the beginning of the promotion period; or checking out of a hotel or resort property on a date after the promotion period ends.
Bonus award MileagePlus miles, award miles and any other miles earned through non-flight activity do not count towards qualification for Premier elite level status unless expressly stated otherwise. Specific discounted rate plans, offers or promotions may also be ineligible for bonusing.
Please allow up to eight weeks from the completion of your stay for MileagePlus miles to be credited to your account.
Taxes and fees related to award travel are the responsibility of the member.
Summary
The good news is that you can combine this promotion with other Hilton HHonors offers and promotions, as there are currently at least three other promotions — all of which you can potentially take advantage simultaneously, assuming that you conform to the terms and conditions of each promotion — and each of the promotions listed below have links to the articles posted at InsideFlyer if you need to know additional information.

If you plan on staying at a participating Waldorf Astoria or Conrad Hotels & Resorts location anyway during the promotion period, you may as well take a moment and register for this promotion to earn bonus United Airlines MileagePlus frequent flier loyalty program miles.

The “problem” (quoted because it is a matter of perspective) is that to take advantage of this offer, one would have to switch one’s double-dipping preference from points+points to points+miles. That would be a “problem” for me because 1,500 bonus UA MP miles that I would get would not be anywhere near as good as the 5 HH points/$ I would get by double-dipping points+points on what would likely be a pricey stay at WA or Conrad.
Definitely YMMV.

You are right on the money — literally — as I completely agree with you, NYCUA1K.
That is why the article concluded with this carefully worded paragraph:
“If you plan on staying at a participating Waldorf Astoria or Conrad Hotels & Resorts location anyway during the promotion period, you may as well take a moment and register for this promotion to earn bonus United Airlines MileagePlus frequent flier loyalty program miles.”
There are plenty of fine hotel and resort properties at which you can stay for significantly less money that would not be worth the 1,500 bonus MileagePlus miles per night.
For a domestic round trip ticket award in the United States, you would need to spend 17 nights in one or more of the participating hotel or resort properties. Assuming a simple figure of $100.00 more per night than at other brands — such as Hilton, for example — that is $1,700.00 extra you are paying for a domestic ticket which could be worth as little as $200.00.
Of course, all of that is overly simplified and can be adjusted to the personal whims of any individual — topping off a MileagePlus account; wanting the experience of a luxury or semi-luxury stay — but it illustrates what you wrote…
…and your mileage may indeed vary.

Would this promotion apply to already existing reservations? In my case, I have a booking at the Waldorf Astoria Berlin next month using the second night of free promo offered for a very brief time last month . Would be happy to switch from points + points to points + miles if it would apply.
Brian Cohen says
The terms and conditions claim that you must register prior to your first stay and not prior to booking your reservations, Ken — so I would have to say that yes, this promotion would apply to existing reservations as long as you have not yet checked in to any of the hotel or resort properties where you will be staying.
Ken says
That’s what I’d hoped to hear. Thanks, Brian!
