Japan Airlines and British Airways have been partners since Oct. 1, 2012, and from January, the number of Avios awarded for certain flights will decrease. As of Jan. 1, 2013, full-fare economy flights on JAL in B and H class and Premium Economy in E class will no longer earn 100 percent bonus Avios but will instead earn 70 percent. And tier points will not be offered for B and H class, along with K, L, M, S, V, G, N, O, Q and R classes. Generally, the standard tier bonus applies when flying with JAL.
