Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer members can now redeem miles for Saver Award flights in Singapore Airlines Suites only on Airbus A380 planes. As of last year, the airline began allowing members to redeem business and first class seats at the Saver Award level but award redemptions for Singapore Airlines Suites could only be made at the full award level. First/Suite awards from the U.S. East Coast to Singapore are 110,000 miles one way compared to 628,000 miles at the full level. A roundtrip suite award at the full level used to require 1,256,000 miles but can now be booked for 220,000 miles, if you can find availability. Singapore Airlines Suites feature individual enclosed cabins with sliding doors and standalone, fully flat beds.

The change only applies to KrisFlyer members who are redeeming KrisFlyer miles. Members of Star Alliance partner airlines are not allowed to book awards for Singapore’s new first and business class award space. But the airline partners with American Express Membership Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest so members of those programs can transfer points to KrisFlyer miles.
