Australia’s Strategic Airlines has become Air Australia and when CEO Michael James was asked if the airline would have a frequent flyer program, he replied yes and, “We want to come up with a scheme where, say, you fly nine times and you get your 10th free.” No timeline was mentioned as to when the frequent flyer program will be launched. Air Australia flies from Brisbane or Melbourne to Honolulu and the airline has been mentioned as a possible partner with Delta Air Lines, although that partnership has not been confirmed. Air Australia also flies to other leisure destinations like Bali and Phuket and the airline has received the okay to fly to China. Air Australia bills itself as a low-cost carrier; however, the planes feature business as well as economy class cabins. Visit http://www.airaustralia.com to learn more.
