Marriott’s latest luxury play is a bit different from the usual urban tower or beachfront resort. The Ritz-Carlton Masai Mara Safari Camp opens on 15 August 2025 and is now live for bookings. Set within Kenya’s world-famous Masai Mara, it offers 20 tented suites with tree-canopy design, an on-site spa, stargazing deck, and curated dining – all wrapped into an all-inclusive package.
Cash rates? From around $4,400–$6,000 per night. Bonvoy award rates? From about 270,000-300,000 points per night… so ~220,000 points per night if you book five nights and get the fifth free.
Why this is interesting
- All-inclusive redemption – You’re not just getting a bed for the night; meals, game drives, and other experiences are included.
- High cents-per-point value – If you value Bonvoy points at 0.6–0.7 cents, this is a very solid redemption
- Bucket-list location – It’s not every day you can burn points on a luxury safari in one of the most spectacular wildlife reserves on earth.
If you have the balance, this could be one of the most high-value Bonvoy redemptions we’ve seen in years.
Bottom line
This is a niche redemption, but for the right traveller it’s huge value. Even if you never thought you’d drop nearly a quarter-million points on one night, the maths might just convince you otherwise.
