Double and Triple Starpoints Promotion 2017 Now Available For Registration

Once you have registered for this promotion, you will earn double Starpoints at participating hotel and resort properties — a list of which appears here — on eligible stays of two or more nights within the promotion period. Registered members who earn double Starpoints will earn an additional two Starpoints per eligible United States dollar spent, for a total of four Starpoints per dollar; and registered members will earn triple Starpoints at participating hotel and resort properties on eligible weekend stays of two or more nights within the earning period. Registered members who earn triple Starpoints will earn an additional four Starpoints per eligible per eligible United States dollar spent, for a total of six Starpoints per dollar.

Weekends for eligible stays include a Friday or Saturday at most hotel and resort properties; or a Thursday or Friday at hotel and resort properties located in Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and United Arab Emirates.

Elite-level extra Starpoints earnings and other bonuses will not be doubled or tripled, as only the base eligible earnings of two Starpoints per dollar are doubled or tripled.

The bonus Starpoints will post to the registered member’s account within four weeks after the eligible stay posts.

Eligible Stays and Eligible Nights

An eligible stay is defined as one or more consecutive nights paying an eligible rate in the same hotel or resort property, regardless of the number of times you check in or check out of the hotel or resort property, and posting to your Starwood Preferred Guest membership account.

An eligible night is defined as a minimum of one night paying an eligible rate during the earning period. An eligible rate is any rate which is eligible to earn Starpoints in the Starwood Preferred Guest frequent guest loyalty program.

A description of eligible stays and eligible rates can be found at the official Internet web site of Starwood Preferred Guest under Section 2.1 of the program terms and conditions.

Note that certain room reservations which are paid in advance — such as when the reservation is booked through a third party, including but not limited to travelocity.com, expedia.com, orbitz.com and delta.com — are not considered eligible rates and do not earn Starpoints or qualify for promotional earnings. Stays must be booked through any Starpoints-eligible channel, which includes a travel professional who books through those channels or the global distribution system. Stays will be processed for the promotion in the order they post to your account.

This is a decent promotion in which you can earn up to triple Starpoints per stay of two or more nights; and there does not appear to be a limit as to how many times you can earn bonus Starpoints — aside from the duration of the promotion period.

Note that this offer is eligible with other Starpoints promotions — but each offer will award bonus Starpoints independently of each other; and offers may not be combined.
