Hilton loyalists may find this newly announced promotion for summer stays to be just enough to keep them from taking their business elsewhere. But for those whose loyalty lies elsewhere, or who are brand-agnostic, the offer isn’t likely to change their booking behavior.
Offer Details
Between May 1 and August 31, Hilton Honors members can earn double points for stays at all Honors hotels. Diamond-level elite members earn triple points.
There’s no limited to the number of bonus points that may be earned during the promotion period.
Registration is required.
Deal or No Deal
Double points might be thought of as the minimum bonus required for an offer to be worthy of being called a promotion. Anything less would be met with disappointment or derision by loyalty-program members. It’s better than nothing, but hardly an excitement-generator.
Triple points, on the other hand, could be a difference-maker. But earning Diamond status is a high hurdle: 30 stays, 60 nights, or 120,000 Honors base points in a calendar year.

Two nice features of this offer: 1) All Hilton portfolio hotels are participating; 2) it’s in effect for a full four months.
It’s also worth mentioning that Hilton’s 500-point bonus for bookings made via the Honors mobile app will remain in effect through the end of 2017, and is combinable with the summer points promotion. Every little bit helps, right?
