Here is an opportunity to earn significant bonus points with InterContinental Hotel Group’s latest offer, but you’ll have to move quickly: It’s in effect for just a single month, a much narrower window than is typical for such promotions.
Between April 16 and May 15, IHG Rewards members can earn up to 35,000 bonus points for stays at InterContinental, Kimpton, Hotel Indigo, EVEN, HUALUXE, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites, and Candlewood Suites hotels, as follows:
- Between 3,000 bonus points for two nights and 30,000 bonus points for 15 nights
- Plus 5,000 bonus points for charging qualifying stays to the IHG Rewards credit card
The base offer is 3,000 points after two nights. After registering, members will receive a personalized offer, depending on their IHG stay history, which could be as much as 30,000 bonus points after 15 nights. (As a relatively inactive Rewards member, I was only eligible to receive the base offer.)
Only IHG Rewards members in North, South, and Central America are eligible to participate.
Deal or No Deal
IHG Rewards members normally earn 10 points for every $1 spent at most IHG brands. So two $150 nights would earn 3,000 points. In that scenario, the base 3,000-point bonus amounts to earning double points — nothing special. But adding to that the 5,000-point credit-card bonus, for a total of 8,000 bonus points, makes for a hefty 11,000-point haul on a hypothetical $300 stay. Not bad!

Because the credit-card bonus is a one-off, it adds proportionately less to the more generous per-night offers.
