The normal bonus for referring a friend for a Delta credit card is 5,000 miles but, until February 1, they’ll double it for you. This is a promotion that they run frequently, but it’s good to take advantage of it when you can.

Completing the promo is simple enough. First, head here and select the card that you own. Note that you can only refer somebody for a card that you currently have and that they don’t. Click on the link of the card you have and they will direct you to the referral page. Fill in the information of the person that you are referring and you are on your way to big miles.

The timing is particularly of this promotion good if you have a platinum Delta SkyMiles credit card. Right now, both the business and personal platinum cards are offering 70,000 miles to sign up and meet their minimum spend requirements. That’s as big a deal as I’ve ever seen for these two cards. The annual fee is $195, which is pretty hefty, but the value of the miles more than offsets that number. You’ll also get other benefits, such as 10,000 Medallion Qualifying Miles and a $100 statement credit when you hit the initial spend. If you spend $25,000 in a year, that will count as your Delta spending requirement toward elite status.
