Virgin America Flash Sale Today Only

In what Virgin America is calling its biggest deal of the year to celebrate its being selected as the best domestic airline by Travel + Leisure for the ninth consecutive year, flights between Tuesday, August 23, 2016 through Wednesday, February 8, 2017 are as low as $39.00 one way as a passenger in the main cabin — but you must book your flight prior to 5:00 in the afternoon Pacific Daylight Time today, Wednesday, July 6, 2016 to take advantage of this offer.

As few as 1,173 Virgin America Elevate frequent flier loyalty program points can be redeemed for flights as well during this sale.

An advance purchase of 21 days is required; and the lowest sale fares are available only on certain itineraries.

The lowest sale fares are only valid for travel Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday — except for Hawaii, where the lowest sale fares are valid for travel Monday through Thursday.

Using Elevate Points

Points required to redeem an Elevate travel reward on Virgin America will be publicly available on a seat and flight-specific basis and are subject to change. Domestic reward bookings are subject to a security fee of $5.60 per one-way trip payable by credit card or Virgin America credit file, where each one-way trip may include a connection or stopover between two domestic flights not exceeding four hours. Multiple one-way trips are permitted on the same reward booking. The Passenger Facility Charge and Segment Fees are waived for domestic reward bookings.

For international reward bookings, you are responsible for any taxes and fees incurred from international travel. These taxes and fees are subject to change at the discretion of the government of each country and also vary from country to country depending on the origin and destination.

Fees for Changes or Cancellations

Changes or cancellations can occur for the following fees per guest through all channels; plus any increase in fare, if applicable:

$100.00 for travel solely between points in the Continental Western Region — LAS/LAX/PDX/PSP/PVR/SAN/SEA/SFO/SJD only; DAL-LAS; and DEN-SFO
$150.00 for all other itineraries

Any remaining balance will be placed in your travel bank, good for travel on Virgin America for one year from date of issue.

Changes or cancellations of a booking made with Elevate Points will be subject to a redeposit fee of $100.00 per guest. Guests who no-show without a change or cancellation prior to the scheduled departure time will forfeit the amount of this fare. In addition, any future flights booked in the same reservation will also be canceled and the fare will be forfeited.

Baggage

Virgin America will accept up to ten pieces of checked baggage, up to 50 pounds each, per ticketed guest traveling within the United States. The fee for each additional piece of checked baggage up to 50 pounds is $25.00. Additional fees apply to baggage exceeding these weight limitations; and other baggage restrictions may apply.

Other Fees

Tickets purchased from Virgin America through its reservation call center will cost an additional $20.00 per guest per itinerary. Any added cost associated with purchasing tickets from Virgin America through our reservation call center cannot be refunded. Fares will not be honored retroactively or in exchange for any wholly or partially used ticket. Fares, routes, fees and schedules are subject to change without notice.
