What to Do

Summary
JetBlue Airways was bidding to acquire Virgin America but lost to Alaska Airlines as per this discussion posted on the forums of InsideFlyer, who many say that — at $2.6 billion — overpaid for the low-cost carrier.
This is a rather generous promotion offered by JetBlue Airways — atypical of the dearth of good promotions offered by frequent flier loyalty programs recently; and perhaps as a result of losing the aforementioned bidding war for Virgin America — but it is not for everyone, as JetBlue Airways does not offer service to airports such as Atlanta or Kansas City. The airline has been adding new routes and destinations, though — such as Nashville, Albany, Daytona Beach, Antigua, Quito and Palm Springs.
Also keep in mind that even though the international reach of JetBlue Airways is limited primarily to Mexico, Costa Rica, the Caribbean and northern South America, the carrier has partnerships with 40 other airlines — most of them international airlines with destinations collectively worldwide — on which you can earn TrueBlue points.
