You can earn bonus Marriott Rewards points this summer as you purportedly get the lowest room rates at participating hotel and resort properties of the brand portfolio of Marriott International, Incorporated all the time — while simultaneously being entered into the Sweet Summer Sweeps, where a total of ten million Marriott Rewards points will be given away: 100 members of the Marriott Rewards frequent guest loyalty program will win 100,000 Marriott Rewards points.

While the promotion appears to be open to all members of the Marriott Rewards frequent guest loyalty program, how many bonus Marriott Rewards points you can earn depends on the offer you receive which was specifically targeted to you — typically a maximum of 10,000 or 12,000 Marriott Rewards points; although amounts vary — and the offer cannot be transferred to another person.

Sweet Summer Sweeps With Marriott Rewards — and Also Earn Bonus Points

What you need to do to earn bonus Marriott Rewards points while simultaneously participating in the sweepstakes is as simple as four easy steps:

1. Register for this promotion by Monday, September 5, 2016; and your entry will automatically be entered into the sweepstakes, which ends at 11:59 in the evening Eastern Daylight Time on Monday, September 5, 2016
2. Stay at participating hotel and resort properties between today and Monday, September 5, 2016
3. Earn 2,000 bonus Marriott Rewards points on every paid stay — starting with your second stay —up to a maximum of 10,000 bonus points or whatever maximum offer you specifically received
4. Receive an additional sweepstakes entry with every stay — beginning with your first stay — with a limit of one entry per night per eligible reservation booked only via the official Internet web site of Marriott during the duration of the sweepstakes, as reservations booked through any other venue will not count as an entry

A stay is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel or resort property — regardless of how many times you check in or check out of that hotel or resort property.

Terms and Conditions of the Summer Global Promotion

Bonus points will be awarded to your Marriott Rewards account within five business days after the qualifying stay. Only one room per hotel or resort property is counted toward your nights or stay. Awards are not transferable and may not be given as a gift.

Not eligible for credit are the following:

• Nights spent while redeeming an award
• Marriott Vacation Club owner-occupied weeks
• Electing to earn airline frequent flier loyalty program miles for nights or stays
• Rooms booked through most third party retailers via the Internet and select travel agency bookings

Stays at The Ritz-Carlton hotel properties will count toward achievement.

Terms and Conditions of the Sweet Summer Sweeps

The Sweet Summer Sweeps is open to members of the Marriott Rewards frequent guest loyalty program who are at least eighteen years of age — or the age of majority in their respective states or jurisdictions of permanent residence — and are legal residents of:

• The fifty United States — including the District of Columbia
• Canada — excluding Quebec; and
• The United Kingdom

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to participate, enter or win the sweepstakes, as a purchase or payment will not increase your chances of winning.

Your stay must be completed before the conclusion of the duration of the sweepstakes in order to count towards any entries.

To enter, log in to your Marriott Rewards account on Marriott.com, then register for the Summer Global Promotion to receive one entry into the Sweepstakes (“registration entry”). You can also call Marriott Guest Services to register for the Offer to receive one registration entry into the Sweepstakes. If you are not a Marriott Rewards member and would like to become a member for free and then enter, visit MarriottRewards.com/Sweeps. Limit one registration entry per person/Marriott Rewards account.

The guest name associated with the Marriott Rewards account on the reservation is the person who will be entered into the Sweepstakes. Marriott Vacation Club® owner-occupied weeks are not eligible for credit. Only one room per hotel is counted toward a member’s nights or stay. by September 5, 2016 and received by September 15, 2016 to be included in the random drawing.

The approximate retail value of the grand prize of 100,000 Marriott Rewards points — which will be awarded to 100 winners — is $1,250.00. Winners will be selected on or about Thursday, September 22, 2016. If you are one of the winners, you will be notified by telephone, e-mail message or both; and you will be sent via e-mail message an Affidavit/Declaration of Eligibility, Liability & Publicity Release — where legal — and will be required to compete, sign and return Affidavit/Declaration via e-mail message or fax within three days of being notified in order to claim your prize. Potential winners in Canada must answer correctly a mathematical skill-testing question without aid of mechanical device or otherwise, to be administered by the Administrator at a time and in a manner to be determined by the Administrator.

Mail In Up to 104 Entries?!?

To receive additional entries without making a stay, you must first register for the Offer to receive a registration entry. Then, hand print your name, Marriott Rewards number, address, city, state/province, zip/postal code, country, telephone number, date of birth, and email address on a plain 3″ x 5″ piece of paper, insert it into an envelope, affix postage and mail it to: Marriott Rewards Global Summer Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 7650 Melville, NY 11775-7650 USA, to receive one (1) additional entry into the Sweepstakes. Entries must be hand-addressed, postmarked by September 5, 2016 and received by September 15, 2016 to be eligible for the Sweepstakes random drawing. Mechanically reproduced or photocopied mailed entries are automatically void. Incomplete entries are void. Limit one (1) mailed entry per envelope. Mailed entries received from anyone who has not registered for the Offer are void.

Limit one (1) additional entry (via stay or mail-in) per person/Marriott Rewards account per day for a maximum of one hundred four (104) additional entries per person/Marriott Rewards account, regardless of method of entry. No information regarding entries, other than as otherwise set forth in these Official Rules, will be disclosed. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET on September 5, 2016 to be included in the random drawing. Mailed Entries must be postmarked by September 5, 2016 and received by September 15, 2016 to be included in the random drawing.
