Virgin America is offering a 50% bonus on Elevate points and status credits on transcontinental flights through June 12, 2016.

Virgin America’s revenue-based Elevate program typically lets you earn 5 points and 5 status credits per dollar spent, and on the flip side lets you redeem each point for ~2.2 cents towards the cost of a revenue ticket.

With their current promotion, you’ll earn 7.5 points and 7.5 status credits per dollar spent on flights between:

San Francisco (SFO) or Los Angeles (LAS)
and
Boston (BOS), New York City (JFK), Newark (EWR), and Washington DC (DCA/IAD).

You must register for the offer before your first travel date to take advantage of the promotion.

All flights must be operated by Virgin America, rather than partner airlines.

The extra status credits earned through this promotion count towards Elevate Silver or Gold status. To become Silver in the Elevate program you need to earn 20,000 status points or 15 status segments within a calendar year, and for Gold you need 50,000 status points or 30 status segments within a calendar year.

Any changes or cancellations might result in disqualification from the offer. All travel not normally eligible for earning reward points or status credits, including Elevate reward bookings, are excluded from this offer. Bonus Elevate points and status credits cannot be transferred between accounts and will only be earned if the member has entered their Elevate membership number in their booking. If the member has chosen to earn points or miles and status credits with a partner airline loyalty program, these flights will be excluded from this offer and no bonus points or bonus status credits will be earned on your travel with Virgin America.
