JetBlue has a flash sale underway on all award flights booked between now and March 4th. A 25% discount will be applied to any trip taking place between April 26th and June 16th. The only restrictions are that Sunday flights are not eligible, nor are flights during the Memorial Day week of May 26-30. (h/t to Tim Winship at smartertravel.com).
What’s terrific about this sale is it applies to all award tickets, not just economy seats. This means you can currently book a one-way Mint class ticket for just 34,000 TrueBlue points on any flight that JetBlue has low fare availability.
Mint is JetBlue’s transcontinental premium cabin that competes with high-end business class products from American, United, and Delta. It’s a terrific product available at a great price. You can read a full review of Mint at the post “Review: JetBlue Mint Class JFK to LAX” and learn about all the perks that come with a Mint ticket.
A quick search of Google Flights shows there are $599 seats (equivalent to 34,000 point seats) on the JFK-LAX run practically every day during May and June…
Return flights from LAX to JFK are a little harder, but there are still plenty of options…
There’s also tons of low cost options from JFK to San Francisco — again the return is a little more limited, but far from impossible…
There’s even space in both directions on JetBlue’s new Mint service from Boston to San Francisco!
Finally, remember that even though the American Express partnership with JetBlue is ending, JetBlue is still a transfer partner of the Membership Rewards program. The transfer ratio for JetBlue points is 250:200 so you’ll want to transfer 42,500 Membership Rewards to end up with 34,000 TrueBlue points.
If you haven’t yet tried JetBlue’s Mint, this is a terrific opportunity to do so. Don’t wait!
