Etihad Guest Gold Elite is the new elite tier introduced by the frequent flyer program to recognize their best customers. Etihad Gold Guest members who earn 125,000 tier miles or 60 tier segments within any rolling 12-month period will be awarded Etihad Guest Gold Elite status. Benefits include an exclusive award section in the online RewardShop, a guaranteed Coral Economy seat if booked at least 12 hours in advance, Diamond First Class lounge access, 20kg excess baggage allowance, the chance to nominate a friend or family member for Etihad Silver Guest status and more. Bottom line: Previously the Etihad Guest Gold tier was the airline’s top level in the loyalty program. To qualify, guests must take more than 40 flights in one year, or travel more than 50,000 miles. Etihad Guest Tier miles can be earned on any eligible flight with Etihad, plus any applicable class bonus miles earned. Etihad Guest is just five years old and the program has already progressed to feel the need for a three-tiered program to benefit their most frequent travelers.
