Not to be confused with Virgin Atlantic’s Miles Plus Money fares, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club members can now take advantage of CombiFares–a combination of a one-way Virgin Atlantic mileage award and any economy fare (excluding Miles Plus Money fares and including W, S, K, Y, B, L, M, Q, X, N and O fares). Members can look for award availability in any cabin on either leg and the half you pay for is Premium Economy or economy fare.
You will earn miles and tier points on the leg of the journey you pay for. Other restrictions apply, such as if you cancel the award flight seven days prior to the departure, 75 percent of your miles will be refunded, and within seven days, no miles will be refunded. If the Flying Club leg is cancelled, the remaining leg will be recalculated as a one-way published fare. Members cannot use a companion award with this fare type and members can use a one-way upgrade if the published sector is a qualifying Premium Economy or economy booking class (subject to availability).
CombiFares can only be booked via the Flying Club helpline (each level of Flying Club membership has their own phone number).
CombiFares aren’t the only thing that’s new, Flying Club members in Manchester have a new option to spend their miles–twice weekly nonstop flights between Manchester, U.K. and Las Vegas featuring 14 Upper Class seats (or rather, an “Upper Class Suite”), 58 premium economy seats and 379 seats in economy.
