The new Air New Zealand American Express Platinum card features a complimentary roundtrip domestic flight each year. Cardholders earn one Airpoints Dollar for every $75 spent and one Status Point for every $250 spent. Plus, the joining fees for Airpoints and Koru, Air New Zealand’s airport lounge, are waived–the equivalent of saving $300. Only the Koru joining fee is waived and if you want to join Koru, the annual fee is discounted to $350 (from $495). New cardholders earn a bonus 200 Airpoints Dollars when spending $500 within three months of acquiring the credit card.

As might be expected, the annual fee is high at $395 per year. And while you do get a free domestic flight each year, the offer is only valid on direct flights.
