Qantas Credit Card

Qantas Credit Card

As of March 31, 2009, credit card users who did not choose Qantas Frequent Flyer as their loyalty scheme are no longer able to transfer credit card points into Frequent Flyer points with most credit cards, such as the AMEX Ascent, Westpac Altitude and ANZ Rewards Visa. Members using the co-branded Frequent Flyer credit cards will continue to earn points as before.

Frequent Flyer suspended the program joining fee for non-members who transferred their credit card points into miles and is considering eliminating the fee permanently.

The program currently has 5.4 million members and would like to increase the number of members to seven million and reach at least half of the households in Australia. Qantas also plans in the middle of this year to expand its Anyseat award option that allows members to book any available seat on JetStar or Qantas to include three international airlines: Aer Lingus, British Airways and American Airlines.
