The Accor hotel group has launched its much-anticipated global, multi-brand loyalty program that combines and replaces its existing array of loyalty programs. The A|Club allows members to earn two points per euro spent on stays at Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Novotel, Mercure and Suitehotel and one point per euro spent in Ibis and all seasons hotels. And through Dec. 31, 2008, members will earn double points for qualifying hotel stays with all A|Club hotels.

Members can redeem points for Accor hotels rewards vouchers that they can use to pay for all or part of a hotel stay with no required advance booking, blackout dates or restrictions. The vouchers may be given to someone of the member’s choosing, but are valid for one year only.

Members can choose to convert points into miles with the FFPs of these airline partners: Air France-KLM, British Airways, Delta Air Lines, Lufthansa, Qantas, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways or US Airways at the rate of 4,000 points for 2,000 miles (or 4,000 points with Qantas). A|Club also partners with Club Med (earn and burn) and Europcar (earn and burn) and Mouvango in France (earn only).

A|Club includes an elite program and these most frequent of guests can earn additional tier bonus points. Members who stay 10 nights or earn 2,500 points in a rolling calendar year will earn Silver status and a 50 percent point bonus.

Gold status is given to members who stay 30 nights or earn 10,000 points per year. Gold members will receive a 75 percent point bonus and five-day guaranteed availability, welcome drink and gift, 4pm late check-out and room upgrades (based upon availability) at MGallery, Pullman and Sofitel hotels.

Platinum members are those who stay 60 nights or earn 25,000 points per year. In addition to a 100 percent point bonus and Gold benefits, Platinum members are guaranteed a room with three days advance notice.

To keep points from expiring, all A|Club members are required to stay at least one night every 12 months in a participating hotel. Prospective members can enroll in the free program online at www.a-club.com. Members of Sofitel Privilege, Accor Mouvango and Accor Favorite Guest can choose to transfer all of their points to their A|Club card during the sign up process.

Members looking for elite benefits and hotel discounts can join A|Club Favorite Guest for 270 euro (220 euro until Dec. 31, 2008) and receive up to a 15 percent discount at 2,000 Accor hotels, 4pm late checkout, special welcome, upgrade at Sofitel, three-day room availability guarantee and exclusive customer service.
