Premium Economy was introduced by Virgin Atlantic in 1992 and has proven popular with travelers — so much so that Virgin has recently reconfigured their entire Heathrow fleet with 62 Premium Economy seats compared to the previous 32 seats. Premium Economy offers a dedicated cabin and crew, laptop power points, real dishes and cutlery, priority check-in and a larger seat with more legroom, among other services.
