Qatar Airways recently won the FFP Innovation Gold Award that recognizes management achievements at frequent flyer programs. Qatar was singled out for the honor for introducing a self-service kiosk in the business class lounge where travelers could enroll in the airline’s Privilege Club program and receive their membership card within 10 seconds of completing their details. The award ceremony took place as part of the annual FFP Conference in Vancouver. Over 70 airlines from around the world were represented at the conference. Voting for the FFP Innovation Gold Award was open to all current airline employees who were asked not to vote for their own program. Our congratulations to Qatar.
