Westpac has turned its guns on ANZ’s popular Qantas credit card with plans for a cheaper product. New Westpac Earth and Earth+ cards linked to Mastercard and American Express will offer Qantas Frequent Flyer points and will cost just $49 a year.

Cardholders will get 55 days credit and interest of 12.49 percent will be charged on balances.
