On the first day of summer, 12 children and their families embarked on the trip of a lifetime, courtesy of the Icelandair Travel Fund for Special Children.

The objective of the Travel Fund is to give children suffering from long-term illness or who have special circumstances an opportunity to go on a “dream journey” along with their families.

This time the fund received 80 applications from interested children. Each child that receives an allocation from the fund can take her/his whole family on the trip with all expenses covered by the Travel Fund.

Icelandair, and members of the Icelandair Customer Club, donate a certain number of points each year to finance the fund.
