Rumor has it that Lufthansa’s Miles & More will be offering a “winter welcome” in Europe this year. Sometime in October, new customers on the continent will receive an additional 2,000 bonus miles on their first 3,000 miles accrued.

Of course, this is not surprising, given the generosity the program has shown in recognition of its 10th anniversary. As further evidence, its monthly anniversary prize draws continue, with prizes in September scheduled to be five weekend trips to European destinations (Vienna, Florence, Palma, Rome, Spitzingsee/Bavaria), courtesy of Starwood, plus flights for the winner and a companion to hotel destination and back with Lufthansa.
