LOT Polish Airways has found someone new. As reported here, the Polish carrier is set to join the Star Alliance in October.

Is it the straw that broke the camel’s back? Perhaps. Whatever the reason, oneworld member and former LOT partner Finnair is severing its ties.

Finnair Plus members can both collect points from LOT flights and redeem them for flight awards until Oct. 25. Award bookings already made for dates after Oct. 25 are valid.

The announcement was made with little fanfare — often an indication that even marketing people were having a hard time putting on a positive spin.
