Royal Brunei Airlines has launched its frequent flyer program, called “Royal Skies.”

Miles earned are equivalent to mileage flown, but the program is quite generous in its class-of-service bonuses — Business Class earns 50 percent extra, and First Class nets double miles.

The program also offers two elite levels: Silver and Gold.

Royal Skies offers reasonably low award levels, including a 15,000-mile award within the Middle East, and a 40,000-mile award from the Middle East to Europe.

Though details have yet to be clarified, RBA indicates that hotels, banks, department stores and golf courses will be joining the program as mileage-earning partners.

Applications for Royal Skies membership must be made by completing a form available at a Royal Brunei Airlines’ office or check-in desk.
