Vietnam’s national carrier, Vietnam Airlines, has agreed to terms with Hong-Kong based Cathay Pacific Airways on a frequent flyer reciprocal arrangement.

Vietnam Airlines Golden Lotus program members can now earn points on Cathay Pacific flights. In turn, members of the Asia Miles program will be awarded points when flying with Vietnam Airlines. Points can be redeemed for awards on both airlines.

Golden Lotus, the two year-old loyalty program of Vietnam Airlines, has grown to over 30,000 members, half of whom live outside Vietnam.
