Regional Express, or “Rex,” has recently capped a round of innovations with the introduction of a frequent flyer program. Based more on the “credit” model as opposed to the “miles” model, the program allows members one free flight per nine segments flown. And members who join now will be able to earn a free flight for every five segments flown before June 30. RexFlyer membership is available for $27.50 annually.
Rex also unveiled its “Rex Lounge” program, which, for an annual fee of $220, offers membership in the RexFlyer program, in addition to access to Rex lounges.
The airline told the Australian press that more than 1,500 customers signed up for RexFlyer and Rex Lounge before the programs were launched.
