Behind today’s door of the InsideFlyer Christmas Calendar is a special treat for all winter fans: we are giving away a two-night stay for two people including breakfast and dinner at Thurnher’s Alpenhof in Zürs am Arlberg. The voucher must be redeemed during the 2022/23 winter season and is subject to availability.
Thurnher’s Alpenhof in Zürs is one of the few hotels in Austria that belong to the exclusive portfolio of The Leading Hotels of the World. The boutique hotel, with its contemporary, elegant chalet-style, has 38 individually furnished rooms and suites, a restaurant, a bar, and an exquisite wellness area. Among the inclusive services that are standard at Thurnher’s Alpenhof are a comprehensive breakfast buffet, gourmet dinner, concierge, shuttle, and ski service.
Thurnher’s is the only hotel on the Arlberg to offer its guests the service of an in-house ski instructor. Throughout the season, Roman Dornauer is available to guests free of charge. The state-certified ski and snowboard instructor has been part of the Thurnher’s team for 20 years. Roman knows the most beautiful ski huts and the most attractive deep snow slopes. On request, he organises sleigh rides and snowshoe or torchlight hikes.
Owner Dr. Beatrice Zarges believes in continuity when it comes to the “all-inclusive care” of her guests – and the personal, familial atmosphere that makes a stay in the 38-room hotel unforgettable. However, as every year, the start of the season also marks a new beginning: the rooms and suites are presented in a new look.
There are also new developments in terms of cuisine: Martin Schmölzer is the talented chef who will be responsible for the culinary direction of the hotel’s gourmet restaurant from this season. The 29-year-old from Carinthia has already worked in renowned establishments such as Steirereck in Vienna, the three-Michelin-starred Maaemo in Oslo, and Toya in Faulquemont, France.
