Qatar Airways Privilege Club has announced that it will be adopting “Avios” as its loyalty currency, starting in March 2022. Privilege Club members will have their QMiles balances converted to Avios on a 1:1 basis. Privilege Club will continue to determine elite status and upgrades with QPoints and QCredits.
Very few details were actually provided by Privilege Club, so I will collect my thoughts and share them in a future article.
But I definitely want InsideFlyer readers to be aware of the free miles available to new members of Privilege Club, since these are hopefully going to be transferrable to British Airways Executive Club / Iberia Plus in due course…
Earn 2,500 QMiles just for signing up to Privilege Club
Qatar Airways Privilege Club is offering 2,500 QMiles as a sign-up bonus for new members.
You don’t need to take a Qatar Airways flight. You should receive the QMiles straight away. Eventually those QMiles will become Avios, and hopefully you can transfer them to BA or Iberia Plus in due course.
If you DO take a Qatar Airways flight before September 30, 2022 – crediting it to Privilege Club of course – you will earn 5,000 additional bonus QMiles.
You can sign up for Qatar Airways Privilege Club and pick up your 2,500 free QMiles by clicking here.
