Does recently launched Independence Air have what it takes to be successful? Only time will tell, but the carrier seems to be off on the right foot (and it’s hoping that foot lands square in Delta’s and United’s mid-sections).
One way to better your chances of success is to throw $30 million towards a national advertising campaign. Another key ingredient, if you’re an airline that is, is to offer a solid frequent flyer program.
Enter iCLUB.
Members who join iCLUB will earn one iPOINT for every dollar spent on Independence Air travel. It doesn’t get much simpler than that. Once a member accumulates 1,500 points in a 12-month span an award will be automatically posted to his or her iCLUB account. Said award will be good for travel within 1,500 miles of the originating city. Alternatively, members can elect to receive a 50-percent price reduction on any available roundtrip fare anywhere in the lower 48 states over 1,500 miles from the originating city.
There are no blackout dates in the iCLUB program, and through Sept. 30, iCLUB members will receive a $25 discount for a first flight purchase.
Independence Air has a limited route network, but will be expanding throughout the summer and fall. To see if Independence Air serves your city, visit http://www.flyi.com, and while you’re there, join iCLUB to save $25 on future air travel.
