Hilton recently opened Lost Property St Paul’s London – Curio Collection by Hilton. Located in central London, the hotel is in an area steeped in history that is now buzzing with activity.
The 145-room hotel is just 100 meters from St Paul’s Cathedral, making it the perfect base from which to explore the capital. The popular areas of Covent Garden and the South Bank are all within walking distance.
The hotel’s name is a nod to the property that’s lost in the city – a theme running throughout the interior, with “lost” bowler hats and eclectic artwork. The building itself is designed to feel like you’re in an artistic maze, filled with plaques referencing history and whimsical artwork.
The interiors celebrate the intricacies of lost craftsmanship and innovative design, reviving the forms and architectural shapes of St Paul’s Cathedral and the neighbouring streets.
The hotel has an atmospheric bar and restaurant on the ground floor called Found, which offers a food and drink menu with a nostalgic twist. The custom bar is eight meters long and made from bright blue resin. The cocktails are colourful and theatrical, with each carefully crafted drink telling a forgotten story. Dishes include rich French classics like bouillabaisse and coq au vin, as well as hearty British classics such as a ploughman’s and welsh rarebit.
