The Daily Getaways promotion is back to its normal summer scheduling; it starts on Monday, July 18, 2022. A preview for the first two weeks is now available…
Week 1
July 18 – IHG Rewards Club
- 25,000 points for $125 (601 packages) – 0.5 cents per point
- 2,500 points for $12 (250 packages) – 0.48 cents per points
- 5,000 points for $25 (700 packages) – 0.5 cents per point
- 50,000 points for $250 (549 packages) – 0.5 cents per point
- 100,000 points for $500 (534 packages) – 0.5 cents per point
This is the standard 100% bonus price when buying points directly from IHG (although you miss out on cashback buying via Daily Getaways). However, buying via Daily Getaways allows you to:
- Circumvent any annual caps on buying points
- Buy fewer than 52,000 points at the 0.5 cent price
July 19 – Accor
Accor is selling stay certificates, rather than points.
- A Chicago getaway for $1,000
- A Seattle getaway for $1,000
- A New York getaway for $1,400
- A Los Angeles getaway for $1,700
These packages can provide excellent value, but you will need to look very closely at the fine print.
July 20 – Hilton Honors
- 30,000 points for $150 (450 packages) – 0.5 cents per point
- 100,000 points for $500 (225 packages) – 0.5 cents per point
- 250,000 points for $1,250 (176 packages) – 0.5 cents per point
You can buy a maximum of 3 sets of the 30k point package and 1 set each of the 100k and 250k packages, for an overall maximum of 5 packages.
At 0.5 cents per point, this is the regular sale price when buying directly from Hilton Honors. So it’s only worth considering if you have reached the annual cap for buying directly from Hilton. By max-ing your eligibility, you could acquire 440,000 Hilton points if you really wanted to…
July 21 – Wyndham Rewards
- 15,000 points for $175 – 1.17 cents per point
Wyndham sometimes sell points for less. Avoid!
July 22 – Best Western
- 10,000 Best Western Rewards points for $55 – 0.55 cents per point
July 25 – Universal Orlando
These are stay / entry packages, which are:
- Two Universal Orlando three day passes for $742
- A Universal Orlando Resort VIP experience for $1,953
- A Universal Orlando vacation package for four for $3,549
These packages can provide excellent value, but you will need to look very closely at the fine print.
July 26 – Choice Privileges
- 14,000 points for $84 (1,147 packages) – 0.6 cents per point
- 28,000 points for $155 (1,561 packages) – 0.55 cents per point
- 42,000 points for $220 (1,300 packages) – 0.52 cents per point
- 55,000 points for $285 (1,590 packages) – 0.52 cents per point
You can buy 4 of each separate package. (16 in total)
This is an excellent price for Choice points. And there are far more packages available (than Hyatt) so you don’t need to be a robot to get one or more… But these will still sell quickly.
July 27 – Marriott
You can buy Marriott gift cards at a discount.
- A $100 Marriott gift card for $80
- A $250 Marriott gift card for $200
- A $500 Marriott gift card for $400
If you stay regularly at Marriott hotels and don’t mind a bit of hassle when checking out, this offer is pretty close to free money…
July 28 – Venetian Las Vegas
More stay packages:
- Three nights in a Venetian Grand King Suite for $850
- Three nights in a Venetian Grand One Bedroom Suite for $950
Be wary of blackout dates and other restrictions. You would also miss out on any benefits of booking via IHG One Rewards…
July 29 – World of Hyatt
- 80,000 points for $960 (8 packages) – 1.2 cents per point
- 50,000 points for $660 (6 packages) – 1.32 cents per point
- 30,000 points for $396 (2 packages) – 1.32 cents per point
You can buy a maximum of one set each.
This is an excellent price for Hyatt points. However, unless you have advanced script-writing skills, you won’t get one of the 16 packages. Don’t waste your time…
Bottom Line
As usual, there are a few gems to be found. But these tend to disappear quickly.
