Choice Privileges has launched another promotion, which will look very familiar to most members. The promotion will run from March 14 until May 8, 2022.
Earn 8,000 Points After Two Stays
Choice Privileges is offering members 8,000 points after every two stays between March 14 and May 8, 2022. This promotion is only available to members based in the United States, and there’s no limit to how many bonus points you can earn.
Here are the basic terms to be aware of:
-
- Registration is required prior to the check-out of your first stay (click here)
- Members will be awarded a minimum of 5,000 bonus points and a maximum of 8,000 bonus points, depending on the number of base points earned from the two stays
- You must pay a room rate of at least $40 to qualify
- The following countries are excluded from this promotion: Japan, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Guyana, and Ecuador
Choice Promos are Odd…
The number of bonus points you can earn will vary based on the number of base points you earn. Choice offers 10 base points per $.
So, if you make two one-night stays that cost $100 each, you would earn 2,000 base points and be topped up to 8,000 points with a bonus of 6,000.
But if you made two one-night stays of $150 each, you would earn 3,000 base points and only receive a bonus of 5,000 points.
So… you are actually incentivised to book the cheapest eligible rates. For example, two one-night stays of $41 would still get you a total of 8,000 points.
That said… if you have one or more expensive stays, the minimum bonus is 5,000 points. (so you could earn more than 8,000 points in total)
Bottom Line
Choice Privileges promotions are quite travel hackable. Many people might not enjoy staying at a Rodeway Inn charging $45 per night in order to accumulate points that they subsequently spend at luxury hotels in Norway. But you certainly could…
