JetBlue and Charitybuzz are giving you the opportunity to bid for some great prizes and experiences, with proceeds to benefit a number of charities.
What Is Charitybuzz
Charitybuzz works with celebrities and brands to raise money for charity. The sponsors offer either experiences or prizes, which you can then bid on. We’re not talking about the token gift card that you can win from the PTA function, either. Prizes on their site include an opportunity to sit with Gloria Estefan at a showing of “On Your Feet,” a Peter Max print signed by President Bush (HW) and a chance to pitch an idea to Kevin O’Leary of Shark Tank.
The JetBlue Promotion
No TrueBlue points for this one (unless you pay with your JetBlue credit card), but there are several great prizes available, with many of them involving travel (on JetBlue, of course). Many of the prizes take place in JetBlue focus cities, so be prepared for a trip to Boston, New York or various locations in Florida. For example, you could bid on a suite at Fenway Park for ten to see the 2016 World Series Champion Red Sox play. The package includes roundtrip airfare for ten, although the airline vouchers do not have to be used in conjunction with the prize. With the current bid of $3,250, you’re almost getting the suite for free.
The Fine Print
As always, read the fine print. For instance, I wasn’t going to bother to bid on any of the Boston experiences until I discovered that I could save the air vouchers for another time. There are plenty of blackout dates, as well, so choose wisely.
The Bottom Line
JetBlue and Charitybuzz are providing the opportunity to do well by doing good with these auctions. Three charities will benefit, including the JetBlue foundation. The foundation supports general and STEM education, as it pertains to aviation. You can check it all out through their website. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a suite to reserve.
