Dining options aboard Empress of the Seas will include the traditional dining room, the casual Windjammer Cafe, and fine dining at Royal Caribbean’s signature steakhouse at sea, Chops Grille. In addition, the ship will offer Voom, Royal Caribbean’s super fast internet service.
Empress of the Seas – A Unique Experience
In an era of mega-ships, Empress of the Seas will be something of a unique cruising experience. At just over 48,000 gross registered tons, Empress sails with only 1,602 guests at double occupancy. Empress will sail shorter 4- and 5- night itineraries from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas; Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico; Grand Cayman and Key West, Florida. Empress guests will enjoy longer stays in some ports. For example, a look at cruises available for booking show 12 hour stays in wonderful Key West. Further, the line is offering overnight stays in Cozumel on select 5-night itineraries. Extended and overnight stays offer the opportunity to sample more of the local culture.
According to Royal Caribbean, Empress will feature “daily ‘Sunday’ brunches served with a complimentary mimosa or Bloody Mary, enjoy the flexible “My Time Dining” with no formal nights, take in the new Las Vegas-style “Sequins & Feathers” show and then party all night long in the newly reimagined Boleros Latin Lounge. Empress of the Seas also will offer fast pier-to-ship boarding with earlier boarding times of 11:00 a.m. to help guests maximize their vacation time even further.” Faster boarding is one benefit of a smaller ship.
Miami originating cruises are available for booking now at royalcaribbean.com with prices starting as low as $199 per person based on double occupancy.
