Delta has announced it will add premium economy seats to its long-haul international flights beginning this summer. Called “Economy Comfort”, and similar to United’s Economy Plus, the seats will come with free alcoholic beverages, up to four inches extra legroom, 50 percent more seat incline, a specially designed seat cover, additional complimentary in-flight entertainment options and in-seat power for electronic devices. These more comfortable seats will cost $80 to $160 more than regular economy seats one-way but will be offered for no additional cost for the two top elite levels in Delta SkyMiles (Diamond Medallion and Platinum Medallion members) and up to eight of their companions, and anyone who buys a full-fare coach ticket.

Gold Medallion SkyMiles members will be eligible for a 50 percent discount on these seats, while Silver Medallion SkyMiles members will be eligible for a 25 percent discount.
